Christopher M. Falconetti

Christopher M. Falconetti is a partner at Bangel, Cohen & Falconetti, where he has dedicated his career to representing injured workers throughout New York. Admitted to the New York State Bar in 2002, Mr. Falconetti has represented thousands of injured workers before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board and the Appellate Division, Third Department.

Mr. Falconetti began his legal career as a law clerk at a workers’ compensation law firm while attending Hofstra University School of Law. His commitment to representing injured workers began during his first year of law school and has remained the focus of his practice ever since.

In 2011, Mr. Falconetti joined Bangel & Cohen, helping establish what is now Bangel, Cohen & Falconetti. Over the course of his career, he has developed extensive experience handling complex workers’ compensation matters, advocating for injured workers and pursuing the benefits to which they are entitled under New York law.

His dedication to injured workers is deeply personal. Coming from a family with strong ties to the union trades and civil service, Mr. Falconetti developed an early appreciation for the challenges faced by working men and women and the importance of protecting their rights when they are injured on the job. While achieving successful results and overcoming difficult legal challenges remain important to him, he considers helping injured workers and their families navigate difficult periods in their lives to be the most rewarding aspect of his practice.

Mr. Falconetti is also committed to educating workers and the professionals who serve them. He has conducted classes and seminars for local unions, healthcare professionals, and other organizations, providing practical information regarding workplace injuries, workers’ compensation rights, and the steps workers can take to protect themselves following an accident. He believes that educating workers before an injury occurs is an essential part of ensuring that they understand and can protect their rights when an accident does happen.

In 2016, Mr. Falconetti was selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers and has continued to be recognized by Super Lawyers since that time. He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the Queens County Bar Association, and the Injured Workers’ Bar Association.
